Charles J. “Charlie” Keretz Jr., 66, of Bethlehem, died September 9, 2018. Born in Bethlehem he was a son of the late Charles “Shacks” Keretz and Catherine (Shively) Keretz. A graduate of Liberty H. S. in 1970, he went on to proudly serve in the US Marine Corp as a Helicopter and Beach Landing Support Unit member. He worked over 30 years at Fromm Electric and later with his family in car sales and Home Improvement Contracting.
Charlie was an active member of the Independent Citizens Club (ICC) for many years while developing his second family and beloved friends following his passion for numerous Bike Runs riding with dear friends to raise money for the Children’s Christmas Fund and Toys for Tots as well as being a long time member if the Lost Riders. Charlie also loved playing pool, late night shopping at Wegman's, playing cards with his sister and being actively involved with family and members of Veterans. Most importantly, his honorable care for others which will never be forgotten.
Survivors: Charlie is survived by his sister Darlene Sadowy and husband, John; His brother, David Keretz and wife Gayle; Two nieces, Karen and Dawn Sadowy; Three nephews, John Sadowy, Michael and Stephen Keretz: Four great nephews, and a great niece, along with aunts and cousins.
Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday evening from 6-8:00 P.M. and on Saturday morning from 10-11:00 A.M. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. all in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery. Offer condolences at www.jamesfuneralhome.org.
In lieu of flowers , contributions in Memory of Charlie may be made to Toys for Tots (Checks may be made out to sister, Darlene Sadowy) c/o of the funeral home or American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Rd., Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004
