Obituary for James R. Skinner

James R.  Skinner
James R. Skinner, 83, of Hanover Twp., passed away on Tuesday evening, January 23, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. He was the husband of Stephanie (Gyecsek) Skinner and were married for almost 5 years. Born in Sudlersville, MD, he was a son of the late William A. and Bertha H. (Durham) Skinner. He served in the United States Airforce for 8 years during the Korean Conflict. He worked for General Motors Corp. for 31 years in Maryland. He was also a member of Crumpton Volunteer Fire Dept. in Maryland where he served as Chief for 56 years and known for his generous spirit.

Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Stephanie, daughter, Terri Benton and husband, Harold; sons, Robert Skinner and wife, Debra; Douglas Skinner; David Skinner; Christopher Skinner and wife, Sue; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy J. Skinner (1996) second wife, Betty Skinner (2012); a brother, William "Billy" Skinner; and sisters, Eleanor Hollett and Margaret Ann Huffer.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, Feb. 3rd from 10-11:00 A.M. and to his memorial service at 11:00 A.M. all in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center Street, Bethlehem.
