Obituary for Ethel Elaine Bing (Morse)

Ethel Elaine  Bing (Morse)
Ethel Elaine Morse Bing, 86 of Bethlehem, formerly of South Hill, Maryland, transitioned peacefully on saturday, June 24, 2017 at West Minster Village, Allentown, Pennsylvania. She left the arms of her daughters Keisha and Virginia and entered into her Savior's.

Ethel was born in South Hill, Virginia on June 16, 1931. Her parents were the late Ned Daniel Morse and Marie Gaines Morse. She had three brothers (Solomon, Johnathan, Ernest) and two sisters (Celeste and Evelyn) who preceded her in death. Ethel was educated in the Mecklinburg County School System and then attended Virginia Union College in Richmond, Virginia. After teaching and studying in South Hill and in Nrw York, Ethel moved to Washington, D.C. with her new husband, Lindberg and a new son Robert. From this union, Ethel and Lindberg had two more daughters, Virginia and Keisha. Ethel was married to the late Lindberg Bing for fifty years untill his passing January 17, 2017. Together they instilled a strong work ethic into their children-Robert, Virginia and Keisha.

Ethel taught library skills for 30 years as a Media Specialist in the Prince George's County Public School System. In this capacity many students learned to love and appreciate books. While teaching, Ethel continued to study and received a Master's Degree equivalent from the university of Maryland, College Park. Upon retiring, Ethel continued to volunteer at her Church, Oxon Hill United Methodist, where she was a member for over 40 years.

Survivors: Ethel will be missed beyond measure. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters, Ms. Ann Johnson and Mrs. Matilida Bailey; her daughters, Mrs. Keisha Bing Coggs and Mrs. Virginia Bing McNeil; her son, Mr. Robert Bing; her sons in law, Mr. Stephan Coggs and Mr. Fred McNeil; her daughter in law, Mrs. Valerie Bing; five grandchildren, Hannah, Hailey, Helaina, David and Anthony; five great grandchildren, Joshua, David, Taylar, Dayonte and Madison; and a host of nieces and nephews.
