Obituary for Howard W. Gelbert

Howard W.  Gelbert
Howard Warren Gelbert, 68, of Bethlehem Township, died on Thursday evening, January 19, 2017 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, and also had residences in NJ and NY, before moving to Bethlehem 8 years ago.

Howie was engaged in printing sales and consulting his entire career, most recently as President of 2 EM Press, a printing services and marketing analysis company. Howie has been honored many times for his work in various business and community service organizations, including the Nazareth Bath Area Chamber of Commerce.

Predeceased by his father Sanford, his mother Muriel, and brother Alan, he is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ann Lydia (Stock), mother-in-law Sylvia Stock, daughter Beth Fichtel and husband Brian, son Jared and wife Jennifer, grandchildren Amanda, Rachel and Colin, brothers Lee, Mark, Robert and Neil, and sister Judy.

Services: Funeral services are graveside on Sunday, Jan 22, for immediate family. A memorial service and fundraiser will be held on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m., at the Hellertown American Legion, 935 Main Street, Hellertown, PA. Family and friends welcome. Donations can also be made to the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of Lehigh Valley, 25 West 3rd Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015, an important cause to Howie.

Shiva will be observed at the home of Mark Gelbert, 6 Canterbury Rd, Denville, NJ on Monday through Wednesday, 1-9PM with services at 7:30PM each night.
