Obituary for Anthony J. Getsko

Anthony J.  Getsko
Anthony J. Getsko, 77, of Bethlehem, passed away on September 13, 2016 in LVH-Muhlenberg Hospital. He was the beloved husband of 51 years to Madeline S. (DeNofa) Getsko. Born in Shenandoah, he was the son of the late Anton and Zuzi (Zongora) Getsko. He served in the U. S. Army and later graduated from Kutztown University with his BS and MS Degrees. He was a teacher of Biology for 34 years at Phillipsburg High School before retiring in 1999. In his spare time he enjoyed growing roses and orchids and was a member of the former L.V. Rose Society. He was a member of Our Lord's Ascension PNC Church, Bethlehem.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, are a son, Anthony D. Getsko; daughters, Kristen S. Roumeliotis (Peter), Kara L. Josar (Brad), all of Bethlehem; niece, Brenda Senneca; nephew, Bill Kerchner; and 4 grandchildren, Ava, Brianna, Luke and Jacob. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Caroline Kerchner.

Services: Blessing Service will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center Street, Bethlehem. Condolences may be left at www.jamesfuneralhome.org.
