Condolence From: Dolly Pure Smith
Condolence: I was sorry to hear of Ed's passing! He had a monumental influence on my brother and I coming to know the Lord in the early 1970s! He prayed for me at a pivotal time in my life and showed me how the "balm of Gilead" could actually soothe my broken heart. He will always remain dear in my heart. Is he not celebrating in heaven today!!!

Condolence: Ed shared when we recently visited him that he had asked Jesus for joy and had received the answer to his prayer with both joy and a sense that Heaven was so near him that he could feel its presence. and just reach out his hand and it would pierce the invisible veil that separates Heaven from earth. " Precious in the sight of the Lord are the death of His saints" Psalm 116:15 Ed fought the good fight of faith and has gained his eternal crown. His faith is now sight and he has eternal joy in the presence of his Savior. We who knew him will miss him greatly but he left a legacy of faith that will shine in the hearts of many and give testimony that as Paul said For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
